Learn basic piano skills and songs with music friends! Through games & popular songs, students will have fun while learning  music theory, note reading, & chording. 

Advance through our curriculum emphasizing music theory as you build rhythmic skills by playing in a group. The goal is for each student to achieve functional musicianship and play the music they love!

Students are grouped by age and experience.

Copper - ages 3-5  Thurs 3:45-4:15
Bronze - ages 6-9: Wed 3-3:30, Thurs 4:15-4:45. 6:30-7
Silver - ages 10-14: Thurs 4:45-5:30
Gold - 15+: Thurs 7-7:45*
Platinum - Adults: Thurs 7:45-8:30*
*Platinum  and Gold may be combined

* Some age groups could be combined, if necessary. *
Class length for Copper/Bronze is 30 min, and cost is $80/mo. Silver & up is 45 min. and $120/mo. Length is dependent on the number of students in the class.  If there are only 2 students, class may be shortened by up  to 25%

In this class, students will begin learning to play guitar together, from the very beginning. They will learn individual strings and notes, chords, and more. No experience necessary. Student will need to supply their own guitar for class and practice at home. Open to acoustic and electric guitars, however the number of amplifiers available for class time will be limited.


Hands-On Instrumental Music Classes- Students will learn to 'find the beat' in music, identify and play with set tempos, learn note reading and counting skills, music theory, music history/composer studies, and so much more! This is Shanda's 9th year teaching lessons and classes to homeschoolers, as she founded "Central IA Homeschool Band & Instrumental Music Classes" in 2017. It was a natural addition to her usual music teaching,  as she homeschools her 3 kids. 

With our amazing group of teachers with daytime availability, we are able to offer private lessons on almost every instrument that we offer in the evenings: winds, orchestral strings, voice, guitar, drums, etc. and will form small groups (duos, trios, etc) as the numbers grow in our new space! Fun fact- 3 of us are homeschool moms!

Learn the basics of playing the Ukulele. You must provide your own instrument. Music and info packets will be provided! 8 week course. Students will have the option to enroll in private lessons at the end of the class. With enough interest, a Ukestra (Ukulele Orchestra) could be formed!



In this class, guitar players will learn how to use their guitar knowledge to learn ukulele. There will be a strong emphasis on chord and scale patterns. This is an 8 week course.


These groups will be formed over time, as we see enough interest. If you or your students are interested in these groups, please reach out to discuss further.
